Harrison Career Guide uses the Harrison Assessments' sophisticated SmartQuestionnaire career aptitude test which makes over 8,000 different behavioral comparisons by employing our advanced cross referencing technology. This enables us to accurately determine an individual's career aptitude for over 600 different jobs.
The SmartQuestionnaire career aptitude test is presented in the form of a questionnaire and has been tested for reliability by having individuals repeat the questionnaire three months after the first completion of the questionnaire. The second answers have a .8 correlation with the original answers. This indicates that the answers are very stable over time.
The results have been compared with MBTI and 16PF (worldwide leading personality tests) showing a significant correlation with similar scales.
Extensive studies have shown at least 80% predictive accuracy when predicting actual job performance (as rated by the employer). This indicates that the instrument is very accurate, especially when contrasted with similar instruments that typically have a 55-60% predictive accuracy.
This high level of accuracy has been demonstrated in a wide variety of job types including management, sales, technical, professional, customer service, administration, and manual work. In all cases, the results were able to predict job performance with over 80% accuracy.
The Harrison Assessments' methodology has been tested in a wide variety of different cultures and ethnic backgrounds and demonstrates a negligible bias toward any race or culture which makes it a reliable tool for measuring career aptitude.
